To reduce the food waste, I often style and shoot my meals and this explains why I have so many salads and plant-based dishes in my archives. Salads are something I enjoy shooting all year round, especially for my personal food photography projects.
It is so interesting to see how salads change over the seasons: the ingredients change as well as the flavors, colors and shapes.
I love how you can create visual interest with just a bunch of fresh ingredients: visual elements are so important in food photography, as we can enjoy a photo with our eyes only, and salads are a great way to experiment and train our eyes as photographers.
As a food photographer, my job is to make any food look appealing and I believe that even the most “dietetic” food deserves to be captured. I love good challenges, so if you’re looking for a food photographer for a project, I’m here to help!
Below, you can find some of the salads I photographed in the past months.
